Watson & Wyatt had the unique privilege of designing and managing a private 50th birthday event for a high profile Queenstown resident.
With eighty percent of the 130 guests being international visitors, the brief was to create a luxury lodge and ballroom that didn’t feel like the guests were in a marquee. Then, at the end of the night, convert it into a nightclub.
Watson & Wyatt had to build a temporary event centre to last for 24 hours, in a paddock looking out at Coronet Peak in winter, which had to be self-sufficient of power, water and structure. The end result exceeded all expectations for the client and created an unforgettable birthday experience.
