Overview

In the large black box that is Wellington’s TSB Arena, Watson & Wyatt created an event for 600 guests that was themed “back to nature / a world without borders”. The theme reflected on Christchurch, creating an event inclusive of all cultures. We creative-directed the entertainment, and worked as show producer and director.

It was a thrill to capture the guests emotions and take them on a journey, from the pre-dinner MC introduction, entertainment, narrative performances, audio/visual, through to the spacial design which included a huge amount of greenery and a massive 12m high tree structure.

This year is the best yet. I don’t know how every year you keep managing to blow away the previous year’s event. Every year you come up with some wonderful new idea that takes our theme and runs with it further than we could imagine.

Since 2013 Ann and her team have always created a memorable and successful experience for us and our attendees at the NZDIA. Watson & Wyatt brings years of experience to the table, is always professional, totally calm in any situation, and has an amazing eye for detail that makes everything run smoothly. From the start of planning through all of the decisions on décor, entertainment, audio/visual management, etc. — it all comes together perfectly on the day of the big event.

As I walked into the dining room I was blown away, it feels like we are in a tropical forest, the theming is amazing!
